Jeuveau is an injectable treatment that works to improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines in adults. When injected, Jeuveau® prevents your nerves from telling your facial muscles to flex. 

Jeuveau is a botulinum toxin type A injection used in the treatment of wrinkles. It’s also sometimes called the new Botox or “Newtox” for short because it’s a new version of the same active ingredient used in original Botox Cosmetic injections. While Jeuveau shares some similarities with Botox, there are key characteristics that make this injection stand apart from other botulinum toxin injections. Jeuveau is a better fit for certain types of facial wrinkles compared to Botox— all at a slightly cheaper price. There are many considerations to make when choosing the right wrinkle treatment, including injectables.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Jeuveau for the treatment of wrinkles in February 2019. It’s a new type of botulinum toxin A injection. 

Jeuveau is perhaps best known for its ability to treat frown lines (glabellar lines).

Two separate trials reported by the FDA found that 67 percent and 71 percent of people saw significant improvements after receiving these injections. This is compared to a 1 percent improvement reported in the placebo groups.

Botox ®  Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Botox ®  Cosmetic is derived from botulinum toxin type A, which provides a quick and effective remedy for the facial lines & wrinkles that age, stress, worry, and environmental factors can produce. Botox injections smooth frown lines on the forehead, between the eyes, and at the base of the nose.

Brotox refers to Botox for men; In fact, there has been a significant increase in male patients seeking out anti-aging injections. It's believed that older men are turning to Botox injections in an effort to appear younger and more well rested in both their professional and personal lives.

Botox's active ingredient onabotulinumtoxinA bloxks nerve signals to the muscles in the treatment area. As a result, the muscle becomes "relaxed", making it difficult to contract. The overlying skin becomes smooth, leading to diminished wrinkles and fine lines. 

Frown lines form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines. Neurotoxins, such as XEOMIN, block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions, so frown lines are softened.

XEOMIN is made through a unique precision manufacturing process that isolates the therapeutic component of the molecule and removes the accessory proteins that don't play an active role in treatment. XEOMIN is a highly purified neurotoxin.

XEOMIN is designed to treat brow wrinkles, crow's feet, bunny lines, and frown lines. Patients whose cosmetic results with Botox or Dysport are unsatisfactory may have more success with XEOMIN. XEOMIN should last anywhere from three to six months. Results vary.

Boletero is an injection that is approved to temporarily smooth out and fill in moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds (the folds or wrinkles that go from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth). Boletero injectible gel is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler that helps smooth etched-in lines and wrinkles for a natural, finished look.

Results with Boletero Balance are expected to last six months or longer in many patients. Just as individual wrinkles and lines differ from face to face, individual results with Boletero Balance may vary.

Radiesse® has been approved by the FDA as an injectable filler to treat deep wrinkles or lines around the mouth or nose that includes marionette lines, smile lines, and nasolabial folds. Radiesse® is a synthetic that is made out of calcium hydroxypatite. This ingredient is a substance that is inorganic and is much like bone. There are no animal products that are used in its production, so there is no need to test for allergies. 

Radiesse® behaves like a cosmetic filler for the first three months after treatment. It is used to plump skin and reduce age line. After about three months, the microspheres in Radiesse® help to stimulate the growth of natural collagen and actually cause the development of new tissue for longer lasting results of as much as two years. Radiesse® is useful in treating one of the effects of HIV, called facial lipoatrophy, deficiencies in the vocal cords, maxillofacial and oral defects, chin dimples, and scars.
